Campus Bookstore Should Sell Snacks and Drinks

In addition to selling books and textbooks, I think the campus bookstore should also offer drinks and snacks for sale. The bookstore could have a few chairs and tables available where students could sit and have a snack or something to drink, while they’re looking through books and deciding what to buy. It would also be convenient for students who got hungry between classes, and wanted to grab something to eat before going to their next class.

Sincerely,

Matt Shapiro

Narrator: Now, listen to two students discussing the letter.
Man: Hey, what do you think about this idea?
Woman: Well, it sounds great, but I don't actually think it would work very well.
Man: Oh really?
Woman: Yeah, I mean I get what he's saying, but I don't think he's thought about the problems with that kind of thing.
Man: No?
Woman: No, I'm worried about the books. It'd be really easy to spill something on them accidentally. And then they could get ruined. And some of them are really expensive.
Man: Yeah, even if people try to be careful, that would probably happen sometimes.
Woman: Exactly. And the other thing is we already have the convenient store in the student center, which sells that same kind of stuff.
Man: That's true.
Woman: And the student center is actually much closer to the academic buildings where classes are held.
The bookstore's all the way on the other side of campus. It's not close to the buildings where students are taking classes.
So I don't think students would really go there between classes the way he says.
Question
