Dear Ms. Cope,

I was in the pleasant position to attend your talk at the International Conference on International law Applications in London last March. I especially appreciated your innovative ideas and suggestions as well as your critical point of view on current international law issues and applications.
 

As you probably already know, our university is renowned for its Law School and its contribution to the field. I was impressed by your remarks and views, which l believe, would be great input for our students. Therefore, I would like to invite you to give a speech on international law applications to our graduate law students this upcoming June.
 

In addition, l would be interested in obtaining a copy of your speech and duplicating thirty copies to distribute among my colleagues in the department. There will be no distribution of any part of it to students or professors outside our department without first obtaining permission and without acknowledgement of you as the author. However, in case you wish to publish your speech in a professional journal or other kind of publication, I would be grateful if you could inform me about when and where it will be published.
