This week we covered machine intelligence, also known as artificial intelligence (AI). Some issues we discussed were the role of artificial intelligence and its impact on humanity. Some people believe that AI is a useful tool and its use should not be an issue for concern, However, at the other end of the spectrum, some people believe that humans should worry about the growth of AI and its implications. Please discuss which position you agree with and explain why.

I am not sure why we are still discussing the role of AI in human life when what we should really be discussing is how to include more AI applications in our daily lives to facilitate our day-to-day activities such as doing household chores, for example. The argument that AI is a risk to humans is unfounded.

I have the opposite view from Kelly's. It seems to me like the more power we give machines, the less control we have over our own lives. This technology can be very intrusive. It's too easy for AI tools to capture my personal information and learn everything about me. That information is often used to try to sell me products I don't really want.
